When did you trust Christ?
When I was in junior high school, I attended a sermon at my church explaining in a simple way that I was a sinner and that in order to have a relationship with God I needed to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I decided on that day, January 30, 1981, to accept Jesus into my heart.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
My parents had the greatest impact on my spiritual life. I attended church with my family from the time I was 10 years old. As a young person, I attended church youth meetings and summer activities and church camps, all of which were a real blessing to my life. Seven years ago, God led me to change my profession. I went from a secular IT position to the field of Christian publishing field when I joined the Bible Society of Egypt.
Why do you want to attend the Forum?
Attending the European Leadership Forum will help me so much in my role in Christian publishing and in my service for God’s kingdom. The ministry topics that the Forum presents are so relevant to my personal life and to my service and profession. The fellowship and networking with different people from different backgrounds is a real blessing and it enriches the body of Christ.
What is your ministry?
I am an elder in my church. I am the church council secretary and the church’s Christian education deputy manager. I am the publishing director for the Bible Society of Egypt. I am responsible for the Bible Society’s vision of providing the Bible to all Arabic speaking people.
What are your past leadership roles?
I was a high school ministry leader from 1994-2006. I was a leader and mentor to newly married couples from 2007-2011. I was a high school youth leader from 2012-2013. I was a Christian Education ministry leader from 2014-2016.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
I am blessed by having major roles in my church and my profession. I need to enhance and develop my leadership skills, my knowledge of the Bible, and above all my spiritual life.
