Daniel Harcar is a national leader in Slovakia in a youth ministry organization called Josiah Venture.

When did you trust Christ?

I come from a non-Christian family and I became a believer through English camps in Slovakia 10 ago.
Why do you want to attend the Forum?

I want to keep learning about how to lead ministry on a national level. There are not many opportunities to do that in Slovakia.
What is your ministry?

I am serving through Josiah Venture in Slovakia. Josiah Venture is an organization that equips young leaders throughout Central and Eastern Europe to fulfill Christ’s commission through the local church. I serve by leading in this ministry at the national level. My role is to lead key leaders from over 10 different churches and train them to lead camps with the goal of sharing Gospel with unbelieving students. Over the years I have discipled multiple leaders who are now serving in their churches and leading youth groups. In the summer of 2017 we held 11 camps and had 360 students attend who heard the Gospel and were invited to become part of the local church in their town. Before these summer camps I prepared multiple training events for key church leaders and for over 100 of their team members.
What are your past leadership roles?

Before I took on my current role I was a staff worker in Josiah Venture.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I come from a non-Christian family and from post-Communist country, where my parents were not able to learn about faith in Christ. My mom became a believer through my ministry and that is an awesome sign that the whole country is changing, not just the younger generation. I am praying to see revival in Slovakia in every generation.
