What is your ministry?
My ministry is the music team, which makes us dig deeper into each topic in order to connect it with a song that fits. My husband and I are part of a small group where we discuss all kinds of topics. As both of us are chemists, we represent the “scientific view” on things. Topics we have dealt with are p. ex. “can the bible be trusted what archeological findings do we have?” and “what about evolution?”
What do you hope to gain from participating?
I would like to grow in not being “ashamed” to show my faith in the scientific world and learn how I could even relate to people easier with general topics leading to a conversation about Jesus.
What is your leadership role?
I am currently pursuing my PhD in organic chemistry which involves practical research in the lab and documentation. As a PhD student I am involved in correcting exams and supervising laboratory classes. I hope to finish my PhD within the coming year. I would like to continue in a job that deals with chemical research, focusing on establishing new synthetic plans. This might be either in academia or in industry, but basic research oriented.
