When did you trust Christ?

I made the decision to follow Jesus Christ when I was 17-years-old while at a summer Bible Camp, which I attended on my grandmother’s advice. I was compelled by questions raised at the camp about the meaning of life as approached by the teachings of Christianity, as well by the power and various dimensions of the Christian faith. Above all, I received plenty of answers from God.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

When I began to study the Bible, my spiritual knowledge increased. At the beginning I read the Bible to gain immediate applications for my life. This changed after I learned the inductive Bible study method and I began to place the Word into context. As I have always had a community to belong to in churches and evangelical movements at the university, I have experienced how others have grown in faith, coped with different situations, and made their decisions. At the university I took part in a MEKDSZ group (which is the Hungarian version of International Fellowship of Evangelical Students), where I helped in various areas of the ministry. Later I became the leader of the local MEKDSZ group. My strong belief in my salvation dates back to this period. Both consulting with other Christians and reading books contributed to my knowledge and faith.
Why do you want to attend the Forum?

The lectures and seminars held at the European Leadership Forum greatly contribute to my benefit. Being part of a group of participants with the same mentality and ways of thinking makes me enthusiastic and strengthens me. At the university I usually meet people with very different ways of thinking, mostly skeptics, Gnostics, or powerless Christians. It is highly encouraging to learn from Forum lecturers and to get to know other Forum participants. As a mathematician I have a calling to share scientific apologetics ideas at my university, and to contribute to the growing respect and appreciation of faith and religion.
What is your ministry?

I regard my teaching job as my ministry. I try to be a Christian math lecturer with integrity. I have a calling to impart knowledge about the real relationship between science and faith, and to diminish popular atheistic thoughts about the exclusiveness and power of science and its bias about the foolishness of faith. Currently I give lectures about the philosophy of science, which fulfills this purpose. My goal is to be an understanding and competent professor who is available to answer her students’ questions. As part of this ministry I strive to be a good researcher and to have a word in the world of science. In the church I host, and I am also in charge of, a faith-building home group.
What are your past leadership roles?

As a student I led a local IFES group at the University of Debrecen for a two-year period.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I hope that there are people who will find my aims and area of ministry essential. I believe that promoting my development could be their extended ministry at the University of Pécs in Hungary.
