What is your ministry?
I am a member of the presbyterian church in Warsaw – Good Shepherd’s Church. I sing in the church choir and with my sister, we lead two Bible groups for women. One is for more mature Christians, and the other one is for women who are just at the begging o their walk. All Bible groups for women in our church are studying the Gospel of John. I also run the FB page of our church – I have a conviction that this is a very huge tool that can be used for God’s glory. I am involved in the prayer group for the members of our church as well.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
I am hoping to develop maturity in my faith and that it will help me to encourage other women to know God. I am hoping to learn how to overcome anxiety. I am hoping to learn how to listen to the problems of others without becoming overwhelmed. I think all that I learn from this mentoring will have a great impact on my ministry.
My church is a small assembly – I love it but my dream is to gain more members – so maybe thanks to my skills developed during the course it will help the church in many ways.
What is your leadership role?
My sister and I lead two Bible groups for women. I am responsible for a group for new Christian women or women who are not believers but searching.
Based on the materials from our church and other sources I prepare questions and commentary for the group. I am also responsible for the winter Christmas meeting for women. The aim of this meeting is to share the Gospel and encouraging women to grow in their faith. I am responsible for the topic, the verses of the Bible that will be meditated, and usually one of the women will share the Gospel. This is what really excites me, and I love the interaction with people!
