When did you trust Christ?

I was 14 years old when I became a Christian. I grew up in zealous Roman Catholic family. My first cousin brought a New Testament to my family and, after a few months, my parents and I gave our lives to Christ as our savior. We were baptized three days later in the sea. We stopped attending the Catholic church. For a few months we were by ourselves reading the Bible and praying. Then we learned of a Baptist church in our town and started to attend it. That church is still my home church.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

After I became a believer, our big family stopped talking with us because they said we had betrayed them. That was at first a hard thing, but the Lord gave us joy even in those years. Many good leaders have impacted my life. I went to a Bible college with my husband and had the chance to learn more about the Lord and to study His Word. The Lord took me through many hard, difficult situations but kept me close to Him. Without God I wouldn’t be alive by my own strength.
Why do you want to attend the Forum?

Last year I attended the European Leadership Forum for the first time. I enjoyed every session I listened to and tried to apply what I learned in my life and leading. I expect to learn even more this year. I want to grow as a leader and to strengthen my team. I also pray the Lord will talk to me and show me what to change and how to do that.
What is your ministry?

I am the national leader of Scripture Union Croatia. I am in the process of learning how to complete fundraising projects, which is something I have never done before. I am leading Camp on Wheels, a five-day camp for children in villages whose parents can’t afford to pay for camp somewhere else. I lead a small team and we have weekly meetings together. It is a challenge to stay positive and faithful in times like this when, due to COVID-19, we needed to cancel our camps during the past year.
What are your past leadership roles?

I led the youth for a few years in my church before I went to Bible college. For the past 20 years I am have led Sunday School for children. I served for five years as a worship leader. Occasionally I serve at meetings for women. Two years ago, I became the national leader of Scripture Union Croatia national leader.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I believe the Lord equips the people who He calls to His ministry. Even when I was in Bible school, I believed that I needed to grow more and closer to the Lord. I believe that this is a never-ending process during our lives. I do have skills and abilities, but also want to learn more.
