What is your ministry?
I am the director for the Evangelical Theological Seminary, which educates in three main areas: theology, pastoral care, and social care. Our seminary currently has about 60 students. I am also board chair for Czech Alpha. In this role, I oversee the development of Alpha and related courses in the Czech Republic. The Czech Alpha network has around 1,500 lay course leaders and helpers in local courses.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
I am searching for ways to grow in servant leadership in order to serve our students and others better. Evangelical Theological Seminary prepares leaders for the next generation of churches. Alpha tries to evangelise our nation, strengthen the Czech church, and thus transform our society. As this was a leading motive of my past ministry on both local (as a pastor) and national levels, I would like to meet other people with a similar passion. I would like to understand human resourcing better, and I would also like to improve my ability to pick the best people for certain tasks and my ability to build good teams and deepen my understanding on how to lead a school effectively.
What is your leadership role?
I have been a church elder for over 20 years. I have been a pastor, and currently I am the Director of the Evangelical Theological Seminary of Prague.
