What is your ministry?
My ministry is to organize events where people come together to worship, learn, grow, etc.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
I want to grow in my skills for developing and working with a team vs trying to do (or control) all aspects on my own. I want to learn how to delegate better and how to develop a planning timeline and stick to it. I’m hoping to acquire fresh ideas of how to organize events. I’ve not received any training in this area, so look forward to learning from others and I am particularly looking forward to having some new “tools” for my “tool belt” in organizing the 2021 Area Retreat — I’ve never planned anything this large (although I have served on the organizing committee for past retreats).
What is your leadership role?
I currently serve as assistant to the European Director for Mission to the World. Specific leadership roles throughout my career have included leading worship teams, leading women’s discipleship groups/ministries, overseeing interns, assessment of candidates and potential team leaders, leading organizations of local, regional, and continental events, and being a member of our organization’s Europe Strategy Team (sets vision and direction for our organization’s work in Europe).
