Christian Ministry—University Evangelism
Remigiusz Neumann is a church pastor in one church and a youth pastor in a second church.
When did you trust Christ?
I grew up in a Christian home, so I knew about Christianity from an early age. I made my decision to repent and follow Jesus when I was 16-years-old during a special evangelism service in my home church. I felt convicted and knew that I wanted to follow Jesus Christ with my whole heart.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
When I was 18-years-old I started to work as a youth worker and youth helper. I also attended several Christian camps, youth conferences, and retreats as a counselor. I have met several influential people who have really encouraged me and shaped my understanding of faith.
Why do you want to attend the Forum?
Attending the Forum has helped me to learn how to better make disciples of the youth in my sphere of influence. I have received excellent teaching and new ideas for my ministry.
What is your ministry?
I am a pastor in two churches. I am a youth pastor in a Baptist church in Łódź, Poland. In the second church I am the full time pastor. These two churches are in two different cities in Poland. I am also active in youth ministry in the larger Baptist denomination in Poland. Previous to that I spent several years in other churches as a youth pastor. I take care of youth, teenagers, and college students.
What are your past leadership roles?
I started to lead when I was 18-years-old. First I was a youth leader in my home church. After that my pastor suggested that I study at theological seminary. So I did. Then I started my pastoral training in the city of Torun, but for financial reasons I was not able to continue and had to find a full time job. In 2007 I was presented with another pastoral opportunity in another city, so I moved and I started my pastoral training again. After three years of training I moved to another city to start a youth pastor job. That job lasted for two years. In January of 2013 I moved to Łódź to my current job as a youth pastor. I have since also become a full time pastor in a second church.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
I believe that I have a lot to learn and need more training and study. I am grateful for any additional training I receive because it will help me to improve my ministry and the work I do with teenagers and university students.
