When did you trust Christ?

Six years ago, God started showing me that He cares for me and that He has a plan for my life. But I didn’t follow Him wholeheartedly until a few years after that when He freed me and healed me from my wounds. After He freed me, I decided to follow Him with my whole heart, mind, and soul.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

One of the defining moments for me was during my college days. God kept showing me that He is in control and that if I put my trust in Him, I will never be disappointed. But probably the most important moment for me was when God sent a man named Marty into my life. He is now my mentor and spiritual father. Sharing my life with him, bringing everything to the light, not hiding anything, it changed my life.

Why do you want to attend the Forum?

The Forum will definitely help me to learn new things, which will help me grow. I am all about the growth. The better you understand yourself, the better you will understand others. Being surrounded by much wiser men and women than I am will challenge me to grow more. I am also mentoring young people, so the Forum’s Network for counselors will be a good fit for me. I want to learn how to combine spiritual and psychological practices from an evangelical point of view.
What is your ministry?

My current ministry is mainly mentoring young people, helping them to better understand themselves and their wounds so that God can heal them and bring them closer to Himself. I also preach in my church and lead one of the worship services. I am also a psychologist.
What are your past leadership roles?

I formed a group for men in order to help them see what it means to be true men of God. We studied David’s life to see what it means to be a man after God’s own heart. I was also part of the Evangelism Union of Students team when I was in college. We did outreach events for high school students and university students.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

My heart’s desire is to work with Christians as my full-time job, helping them come closer to God through getting to know themselves better, learning about their wounds, and letting God heal them. At the moment I can’t do that because I don’t charge Christians, so I also need to work with non-Christians in order to make money. I pray that God will provide money so that I can work with Christians full time.
