Vasile Paul-Faina is the pastor of Vox Domini Baptist Church in Timisoara and the strategic coordinator of BIG Impact.

When did you trust Christ?

I grew up in a Christian family and came to know the Lord at a young age.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

The period from 1982-1990 was a difficult time in Romania. There was lot of persecution at the time because of Communism. I could not be publically baptized for fear of persecution. In 1981 I moved to Timisoara for college and joined a small group of evangelical Christian students trained by Campus Crusade for Christ to share Christ on the college campus. By 1989, the underground college student ministry had reached 60 small groups and several hundred disciples. In 1995 I earned my M. Div at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and in 2013 I completed my PhD in educational sciences at Trinity International University.

Why do you want to attend the Forum?

Through my past participation in the Forum the Lord provided me with the opportunity to work on my PhD at Trinity International University. During that time I had the privilege to write my dissertation researching the leadership development process launched in Romania from 2006-2012. I would like to return to the Forum to learn more about church planting and consulting and leadership development.
What is your ministry?

Vox Domini Baptist Church is a growing community of authentic and enthusiastic evangelical Christians with impact among the academic community. The church’s mission is to make disciples of college students and graduates, starting in Timisoara and going to the ends of the world. At Vox Domini I serve as the Coordinating Pastor. I am also the Strategic Coordinator for an organization called BIG Impact. BIG Impact is a growing movement of evangelical leaders and churches with global impact. Finally, I help to run the Estera Foundation, which is a crisis pregnancy center for women with unplanned pregnancies. It is a safe environment where women in crisis find the spiritual and material support for their babies and for their families.
What are your past leadership roles?

I was the president and founder of the Estera Foundation, which is a crisis pregnancy counseling center.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

Before developing educational infrastructure we need to have healthy churches that are reaching the next generation.
