What is your ministry?

I am a Pastor and I also teach a New Testament course, as well as English and Ethics in three different institutions. I am also the chief editor of an internet radio station. Every activity I do is my ministry as I give testimony of the love of God.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

My hope is that I will be able to find like-minded people who are ready to respond to the creation of a biblical-based eco-system, first of all, a discipleship system.
Thanks to your events, I have always received very valuable advice and, of course, an inspiration for further work. I would like to continue the constructive dialogue and take part in this significant event.

What is your leadership role?

In addition to being a Pastor, I organize the Saint-Petersburg Biblical Forum, inviting scholars and missionaries and discussing the relevant problems of biblical studies and missions in the modern world. In addition, I have led to the creation of an internet platform that discusses Biblical ideas. We organize webinars, conferences, seminars for teachers and pupils, discussing biblical passages and modern challenges. My role as a Christian leader is to bring together experts to discuss pressing issues of modern life in an accessible language.

What is your ministry?

I am the head of the student circle “Сlub of Children’s Ministers” (the circle is organised by students for Children’s Ministers and parents from churches in Moscow). I am a leader (volunteer) of a group for Christian teachers in Moscow (international school project).

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I lack literature on the philosophical and theological foundations of Christian education. The challenge for me is not to succumb to secularism when integrating information from secular sources for use in Christian education. Therefore, I would like to learn how to conduct research in the field of Christian education: principles, tools, and analytics. I would like to develop in the field of apologetics. I want to be a better witness of Jesus Christ in my professional community.

I am the head of the student circle “Сlub of Children’s Ministers” (the circle is organised by students for children’s Ministers and parents from churches in Moscow). I am also a volunteer leader of a group for Christian teachers in Moscow.

When did you trust Christ?

I gave my life to Christ in April 2012. I was raised in a Christian family and had attended church from the first days of my life. But as I grew older, I became discontent with the people that I met in the church and the beliefs I was supposed to have. That all changed when I met a girl that was clearly different from all the Christians I had known. She showed me how profound faith could be. She asked me what my personal relationship with God was like and I had to admit that I never really thought that was possible. From that day in early February 2012, I was searching for Him until finally I got to encounter Him and I accepted His invitation to follow.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

After I became a Christian, I started to attend a church. As I got to know the pastors and the ministers I was invited to participate in an Alpha course. After finishing the course, the group stayed together as a home group. After being in the group another year, I started my own home group. I realize now that I was beginning to accept more and more responsibility and was learning how the body of Christ operates. In March 2014 I started running a coffeehouse with my wife and some members of the church as an outreach ministry. I spent more than a year and a half working six days a week from 8 am to 11 pm, facing Organisational, financial, and, therefore, faith hurdles. After that, my wife and I moved to a new city. The church was a new church, which provided a lot of opportunities for us to serve and lead.

Why do you want to attend the Forum?

The Forum has equipped and developed me for my work, encouraging me to be faithful to God’s calling on my life even when at times it seems better to quit. I have met many wonderful people at the Forum from all over the world and they have made a great impact on my spiritual condition, lifting me up and reminding me of the powerful truths about our God. The Bible teaching is profound and moving.

What is your ministry?

I am coordinating the work of the Counselors Online Academy, meaning that I supervise the writing process, manage all the technical aspects (presentations, video, audio, website), communicate with the students, build up a team of contributors, and solve all the legal and financial problems that arise. At Christian Camping International Russia, I also participate in planning, organizing, and leading training events, yearly conferences, and periodic workshops.

What are your past leadership roles?

I was an Alpha course leader, small group leader, and ran a coffee house ministry.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I believe that my ministry has a great impact on the global church as I help other ministers grow. We have a grand potential for reaching many young Christians in Russia and around the world by training them not only in the “hard” skills of serving at a camp, but also in the “soft” ones needed in everyday life.

When did you trust Christ?

I personally met Jesus Christ in June 1993 as a result of deep exposure to the truth of the Bible through reading and fellowship with Christians, catalyzed by a serious internal crisis and apparent lack of purpose in my life. My actual decision was made on June 25, 1993 at night in my own bedroom.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

Some important moments in my life include: the prayers of my grandmother, who was the only Christian in my family for 49 years (from the time my grandfather was killed in World War 2 until my conversion in 1993); my marriage to a woman from a Christian family; my pursuit of an academic career and my defense of my PhD thesis; working as a translator for Christian publishers and as a tutor for Western missionaries to Russia; and my first visit to a Christian camp in 1993, which was the first faith community that I experienced.

Why do you want to attend the Forum?

I hope to network with other believers, to be mentored, and to receive inspiration, new ideas, and new insights into ministry.

What is your ministry?

I am the president of Christian Camping International in Russia. Our vision is to be a highly effective and highly valued ministry tool throughout the world supporting a growing alliance of internally strong, sustainable, and growth-focused associations of Christian camps, conference centers, outdoor activity providers and their leaders. I am responsible for leading the CCI in fulfilling its mission in Russia. I provide leadership on behalf of the board, serve the association membership, and directly supervise the team of CCI Russia. I teach, speak, write, edit, lead, listen, listen, and listen.

What are your past leadership roles?

I have been the president of CCI Russia since 1994. I have previously been the president of Narnia Publishing House and a board member of various Christian organizations.

Camping is an effective tool to reach people’s hearts.
