Ministry Administration and Service

Michal Pronczuk is an assistant pastor, and leads the Biblical Creationist Society, which organizes lectures, discussions, and evangelistic meetings on the topic of creation.

When did you trust Christ?

I trusted Jesus in the autumn of 1990. It happened when a member of Campus Crusade for Christ visited me in my room in the dormitory of my university. Together we studied the four spiritual life rules and as a result I accepted Christ.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

My baptism in 1992 was an important moment for me. Studying at the Biblical School of Theology in Wroclaw, which is now the Evangelical School of Theology, was another important moment. Initiating a series of lectures related to biblical creationism involving Christian scientists was crucial to my Christian walk as well.

Why do you want to attend the Forum?

For me the Forum serves as a source of inspiration, ideas, and contact with Christian scientists. I have met several key Christian scientists at the Forum; they have been able to help me build a biblical creation movement in Poland. The Forum will also help me to learn more about church development and church planting.

What is your ministry?

I am an assistant pastor in a local Baptist Church in Torun, a city in northern Poland. I am also the chairman of the Biblical Creation Society in Poland. In the church I preach, lead, and organize Bible studies, support the church with apologetic tools, and perform administrative tasks. In the BCS, I organize conferences, invite speakers to attend conferences and other events, write for Christian newspapers and websites, and help engage the media through film, books, and radio programs. I also actively work among students at Toruń Nicolaus Copernicus University, including organizing public lectures with scientists.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

My deep desire is to develop my skills to serve God through the truth of Biblical creationism, so I need to gain more knowledge and experience in this field. Moreover, I need to know people who serve God in the same way both as lecturers and organizers.

When did you trust Christ?

I repented of my sins and came to Christ as a young boy. I heard the teaching of Jesus in an evangelistic meeting and asked Christ into my heart.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

My third son had open-heart surgery on his first birthday, and this was a very scary time for our family. But Christ was there and He watched over us. More recently, I was thought to have lymphoma. This was another very scary time, but Christ was with me then as well.

Why do you want to attend the Forum?

The Forum is a blessing, a time of refreshment and inspiration, not only because of the excellent content but because I am spiritually challenged. I also contact other people in ministry, and I can call them in to help me and network with them.

What is your ministry?

I am a teacher in the Greek Bible Institute, where I teach the New Testament, theology, evangelism, and apologetics. I am also a pastor as well as the president of the Greek Evangelical Alliance, and I speak in various locations to many different kinds of people. In addition, I write a lot – more than 150 magazine articles as well as four books.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

As I said, Greece needs spiritual revival, and many young people are not talking about their faith. We need to train young people in God’s Word at the Greek Bible Institute so they will be better able to influence Greek society for Christ.

When did you trust Christ?

I trusted Christ over 30 years ago during an evangelistic meeting at a local church. I understood that, although a sinner, I could be forgiven, and that the strength to persevere in faith did not depend on me.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

One year after accepting Jesus Christ, I attended a youth conference in Warsaw. I realized during my time there that I should be involved in Christian ministry. I later attended camps with IFES in Poland and England, where I learned how to lead evangelistic Bible studies. I have continued to lead such studies since that time.

Why do you want to attend the Forum?

I would like to express my gratitude to those who enabled me to take part in this excellent European Leadership Forum! I admire the content of the Forum, particularly the Scientific Network of which I am a part. Several years ago at the Forum I received encouragement to start the ministry I am now involved in. Since then I have received additional spiritual support and refreshment. Some of the speakers I have met at the Forum have helped us in our ministry in Poland, and we continue to invite such speakers to our area for strategic work for the Gospel. The meetings have helped me to recognize the extent of the work which has been done in my field. I hope that in the future I will be able to contribute even more to the field of science for the sake of the Polish people. We do not yet have many publications available in our language. I hope to be involved in translating and writing new books for our people.

What is your ministry?

I am a scientist by profession, but have been actively involved in church leadership roles since I became a Christian 30 years ago. I have led evangelistic camps, served as a pastor, and have been treasurer for the National Board of Baptist Churches in Poland. I am leading Hevelius Forum for Dialog between Science and Religion in Gdansk. We have Bible studies in our Institute and we organize lectures for those interested in scientific apologetic, I lecture at universities and Christian conferences. I provide material for Christian television in Poland.

When did you trust Christ?

I was raised in a Christian family centered on the Bible and the church. In school, the death of a classmate and other difficult events taught me to truly trust Jesus – in life and also in death.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

Several teachers had a strong influence in helping me see God’s hand at work in everything. After school, I started to be involved in evangelism with Campus Crusade and then became a youth leader in my church, the Neemia Church. Now, I lead Bible studies, home groups, and a medical ministry there.

Why do you want to attend the Forum?

I want to connect to the resources the Forum offers as I begin a new stage in my professional and ministry life.

What is your ministry?

I am an elder in our evangelical Church, leading a house-church and the medical ministry. I preach the Bible in the church. As a doctor and researcher, I am invited as a speaker not only to scientific conferences, but also to university and church meetings to present the Christian worldview as it relates to different topics.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

The goal of my ministry with the Neemia Church is to serve God by serving His people. With The Good Samaritan and the medicine from our Betenia Pharmacy, we give not just physical care but spiritual hope to those who come to us in need. I am also dedicated to serving and supporting my wife and the two children God has given me. I hope to continue to grow in my knowledge of science and my understanding of God’s grace so that I may do all these things better.
