Darius Bocsa is a Camp Director for Josiah Venture in Romania.

When did you trust Christ?

From the moment I could read, my parents had me memorize a Bible verse every week. The summer when I was seven years old, I remember feeling the presence of God and understanding in my seven-year-old way that I was sinful and needed Jesus. I never made another decision of faith since it was evident that it was enough then and there. I was blessed with a great disciple-making family.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

There have been many such moments. My family (parents and sister) and my first youth group small group leader had a great influence on me. My first mentor (he started mentoring me when I was 12) was another important influence. Being a youth group student leader and deciding to go into full-time ministry at 17 was also an important moment in my life. I later attended Bible college at Moody Bible Institute in the United States, and then graduated and started ministry life in Romania. Marriage has also been defining in my sanctification!
Why do you want to attend the Forum?

Devotion and worship are contexts in which I connect with the Lord, as it brings the proper levels of academia and emotion, which help for long term effectiveness. I also hope to expand my knowledge, to see and hear about ministries and theological concepts that can benefit the local ministry. I will be able to connect with other national leaders, both those from Romania as well as other European countries.
What is your ministry?

I am a camp director for Romania with Josiah Venture. I am also the training team liaison for Romania with Josiah Venture and a youth leader for a local church.
What are your past leadership roles?

I have been a student youth leader, worship leader for the church, chapel leader for the student group, and during college I was a pastoral intern.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I am a young leader who wants to follow Jesus and make disciples. I want to learn from others who have been in the ministry for a longer time.
