Christian Ministry—Pastoring/Church Planting
Leaders of Christian Organizations
Pastoring and/or Bible Teaching
Emanuel Moisa is the pastor of a church in Romania and is involved in training other Romanian pastors in biblical leadership.
When did you trust Christ?
I was born in a Christian family, and as a child I was taught to read the Bible and to pray. I attended a Baptist Church where the youth leader was very interested in the students he worked with, and he challenged me personally to grow in my walk with Christ and my understanding of Scripture. After finishing a course in Navigators and being touched by my brother’s baptismal service, I decided at age 14 to receive Christ as my personal Savior and Lord and to follow Him all of my life.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
When I first became a Christian, I got involved with a small group lead by my youth minister. He greatly encouraged me in my faith, as did the pastor of the church. He recognized my calling to be a pastor, and he taught me how to preach and how to witness to others. He encouraged the church to send me to the Baptist Theological Institute in Bucharest to be trained for ministry. After graduation, I became a pastor and met my closest friend, an excellent pastor who is a very wise and experienced youth minister. Our friendship has been crucial for my understanding of ministry, and we have learned together how to serve the church. Through him I have been invited to many conferences with Christian leaders from our country.
What is your ministry?
I am the pastor of two churches, the vice president of education of our Baptist Association in the regional area, national coordinator of the Global Leadership Summit, and a member of the board that leads BIG-IMPACT ministry.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
I live in a country with many resources, and I meet many people who need Christ. Many of those who come to know Christ become involved in ministry. I want my own ministry to be one which multiplies. I desire to work with others, trying to help them follow Christ in every aspect of their lives. I want to share with others what I myself have received.
