What is your ministry?
The name of my ministry is the Great Commission Movement of Ghana. It is better known as Cru in the United States or Agape in Europe. Our ministry is involved in evangelism and discipleship using four different strategies to accomplish our mission: campus ministries; church resource ministries; leader impact ministries to reach top leaders in society; and digital strategies with a focus on doing ministry with technology. I serve as the national director of our ministry in Ghana, shepherding the staff to do evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and the training of church leaders in these areas.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
Through the Year-Round Mentoring program, I hope to become more effective in fundraising and to help others become more effective in this area. I hope to learn the principles and practices of organizational development and how these principles differ across cultures. I hope to learn how to build relationships with possible partners and stakeholders inside and outside the body of Christ.
What is your leadership role?
As the national director of our organization, I do many things including giving spiritual leadership to the organization, overseeing strategic leadership with its related planning, ensuring supervisory leadership, practicing team leadership, creating a culture of leadership development, leading in fundraising and development, and maintaining good public relations to represent the ministry. I coach the leaders responsible for various ministry areas to enable them to be effective in their roles. I also help to provide leaders with access to our digital strategies in our ministry across West Africa.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
I want to better develop my skills in fundraising, relationship building, and public relations.
