What is your ministry?
I church plant in Central Europe. Catholicism overlaid with secularism provides a unique context. I desire to dig deeper and relevantly address the underlying Catholic belief structure that is masked in secularism in Central Europe.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
I want to understand how secularism in Europe has eroded Catholicism and how we can understand the roots of Catholic belief in this context. I also desire to empower national believers to work in church planting among Catholics.
What is your leadership role?
I am a church planter in Prague, Czech Republic, and Director for Pioneers Europe.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
I live and work in a Catholic / post-Catholic context. I need to observe, interact, and dig in deeper to what I don’t yet know. Czechs speak openly about their beliefs and that frankly they have never heard the Gospel, even though their culture is rich in history and Catholic teaching. Their Christmas carols are filled with the Gospel message, and they desire to baptize their children “just in case,” but they rarely apply the structure of the Gospel to their daily lives. Two thirds of conversions in our form of evangelism come from Slovak students who had a praying Catholic grandmother! We have seen so much fruit in this area that whenever I meet a Slovak, I soon ask them about their grandparents and often they say, “Yes, my grandma is a Catholic. She prays for me every day.” God uses prayer from home to bring young lives to Himself.
